Relocate & Expand Prosthetics Deptartment San Diego VA Medical Center La Jolla, CA
Scope: A new 4,400sf expansion and partial renovation (approx. 2,650sf) to modernize and expand Veteran Patient services of an existing Prosthetics Department. This project will support (5) new Patient Exam / Fitting Rooms, a new 50-seat Waiting / Reception space, a new Clinical Gym, 24 new staff workstations, expand storage capacity and provide a dedicated Administrative Offices with a new roof. The expansion of the new patient care areas was located adjacent to the existing Physical Therapy Services for continuity of care adjacency by infilling an existing 3,600sf open courtyard on the 1st Floor over the existing basement level.
