Steven A. McCaslin | President

As the founder & Principal Architect of MA|Architects, Inc., Steve brings more than 25 years of experience in health care planning, design & construction to support our projects. His project experiences range in construction value from $50,000 to $1 billion for small & large sized firms, including Perkins&Will, HKS, the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Veterans Affairs before starting MA|Architects.

Steve graduated cum laude from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and previously studied Engineering at South Dakota State University (with a focus on Structural and Civil Engineering). He has served an a Building Plans Examiner for multiple Federal Agencies and Local Jurisdictions.

As a Service Disabled Veteran, Steve is dedicated to contributing to the built environment to support his fellow Service Members, Veterans and their families. He maintains a direct involvement with every project from conception through construction and leverages his past experience on award winning projects to support & educate his team to deliver innovative & sustainable design solutions to support a client’s needs.
